Bite’s Good on Lake Vermilion

Our regular guests in cabin 7 this week have done quite well on walleye, perch, northern and muskie. They've stayed close and managed to have several fish frys already. Dale boated a 35" northern and Rod his boat partner boated a 43" muskie about 5 minutes apart Monday afternoon. The bobber bite with leeches is good in the evening hours for walleye. Lake Vermilion fishing report June 9, 2013

Another week has quickly passed and things seemed to get better as the week got longer, with good walleyes caught - both "eaters" and slot fish - on minnows and leeches. The crankbait bite was decent as well. There were some muskies caught, all over 40" with the largest a 46". Would like to say the pool is ready and getting plenty of action, but only one part of that would be true. The pool is ready, but Mother Nature is staying true to her early season pattern, and swimming weather has not yet arrived. Lake Vermilion Opening Week of Fishing a Success

Opening week of fishing was pretty good fishing for walleye. Pike Bay produced steadily for our folks as well as some deeper spots. Minnows and jigs were the primary method used to catch fish. Lake Vermilion Ice out – Everett Bay Lodge is ready

Thank you to the guests who stayed with us over 2013 Lake Vermilion opener even though there was plenty of ice to go around. We appreciate your business.  We are now officially ready to go as Dave got the docks in yesterday and all the pallets on today.  We look forward to welcoming back the returning 2nd weekend regulars and hope that they along with some new guests have a great time fishing Lake Vermilion.
