Another week has quickly passed and things seemed to get better as the week got longer, with good walleyes caught – both “eaters” and slot fish – on minnows and leeches. The crankbait bite was decent as well. There were some muskies caught, all over 40″ with the largest a 46″. As one would expect, water temps are still cooler than normal, but a forecast of days in the seventies should continue to move things in the right direction. Here is a sample of the fish our guests told us about:
24″ walleye – Jake Jacobson
22″ walleye – Gary Studanski
22″ walleye – Jake Jacobson
21″ walleye – Mike Shaw
20.5″ walleyes – Jake Jacobson got 2
19″ smallmouth bass – Stan Lesczcznski
18.5″ smallmouth bass – Dave Clement
46″ musky – Alex Mills
43″ musky – Alex Mills
42″ musky – Stan Lesczczynski
Many walleyes perfect for the frying pan.
Several weeks are about full, but if you have some time to fish, check out our cabin availability and make some plans to head north.
