Al Lindner – Angler Edge on Lake Vermilion walleyes

Al Lindner Angling Edge on Lake Vermilion walleyes - Sound interesting?  A program about Lake Vermilion walleye fishing filmed last fall on beautiful Lake Vermilion is currently airing in several different markets.  Are you: wondering what some of the best artificial walleye baits are and how to "work" them? curious as to where the Lake Vermilion walleyes go after Labor Day? interested in knowing the [...]

Everett Bay Lodge – Recent History

As resort owners sitting out at a campfire, the 2nd question we usually get from our guests is "How did you ever end up here doing this?"  Of course you can all guess what the 1st question is...."Where are the fish biting?" When we get that question we always wonder if they are asking because they think owning and operating a resort in northeastern Minnesota [...]

Everett Bay Lodge sport show booth 2016 Sport shows continue with St. Cloud in full swing and St. Paul and Chicago - Schaumburg in the books.  It was wonderful to see familiar faces at the shows and we look forward to seeing more of you at the Milwaukee and Sioux Falls shows in March.  Many weeks are filling in nicely, but unfortunately that [...]

Lake Vermilion 2015 season winding down @ Everett Bay Lodge

Greetings from the Northwoods!  Last year at this time the ice had completely covered Everett Bay.  What a difference a year can make!   So far the fall has turned out to be one of the most mild we can recall.  Nonetheless, it is time to wrap up the resort season and look ahead to 2016, our 17th season at the resort. [...]

Lake Vermilion August fishing

Lake Vermilion August fishing this past week was good at times, and a struggle largely due to unusual weather at other times.  Some first time Lake Vermilion anglers caught their limits to take caught home and ate fish here too, but it wasn't that easy for everyone.  Smallies continue to be the most active catch, with a good number of 3 + pounders caught & released.  Three [...]

Mid August Lake Vermilion fishing – Everett Bay Lodge

Mid August Lake Vermilion fishing - Everett Bay Lodge guests had mixed results.  In short, some of everything was caught, but it wasn't the easiest week on the lake.  Guys fishing for Bass caught Muskies, guys fishing for Muskies caught Bass, and there were some walleyes caught - both eaters and larger ones.  The Henseler boys along with nearly 40 of their relatives, spent their [...]

Lake Vermilion Early August fishing

Lake Vermilion early August fishing found the Muskies and Smallmouth Bass continuing to steal the show.  Just ask Zach Brennan, who spent the week boating 7 muskies, the largest a 53.5" Personal Record for him.   He caught 3 that were over the 50" mark.  Not a bad way to celebrate High School graduation before he heads off to college!   Check out the photo [...]
