With the approaching snow heading this way over the next 24 hours it looks like snowmobile trails will remain in good shape for a while. Temps are expected to be in the low 30’s with lows in the teens and twenties over the next five days or so. Lake Vermilion and the surrounding Taconite and Arrowhead trails will continue to be decent. Check us out if you need a place to stay. 800-249-3178
St. Paul show kicks off Thursday and runs through the weekend – Booth #2. A little time in between while Eric and Val both play in Hockey Day Minnesota, then it’s off to Chicago for the new Schaumburg Show January 24th – 27th – Booth #700. Looking forward to seeing familiar faces and getting things rolling for the 2013 season. Hope to see you there.

Yesterday we had over an inch and a half of rain that was followed by 6+ inches of snow. Freezing rain snapped some trees and it’s a sloshy mess right now. The power was out for many hours due to the freezing rain. We look forward to some warmer weather. Dave

Big Bay looked open as far as I could see. Wind is blowing out of the east today at 10-15 mph. Shouldn’t be long at all for the official ice out date. We had rain this morning a quarter of and inch. Dave

2011-05-15 Opener 2011 was a good weekend of better than expected weather on Saturday and plenty of limits of walleyes. Even with high winds, a few Lake Vermilion first timers from Lino Lakes found their way around and came home with a limit for each of the guys in the boat.
