Lake Vermilion late May fishing has continued to produce many limits for the skillet. The week started out with some first time Lake Vermilion guests settling in and eventually finding the walleyes more than cooperative. The Tinsley guys weathered some pretty lousy conditions but with rain gear and boots they got the hang of the lake and were nothing but smiles. A quick jaunt out for Dave & Val found them out and back with their two limits in… Read More »
Strong Lake Vermilion walleye fishing continues, although the weather has been less than pleasant at times. With many 2nd weekend of the season returning guests, plenty of fish were caught, cleaned, eaten, released — and limits were taken home. We were happy to welcome a few cabins of first-timers to our resort as well, and they too got in on the walleye action. Walleyes were caught both shallow and deep, and while minnows were the bait of choice, there… Read More »
Congratulations to Everett Bay Lodge guests Dan & Jake Doherty on claiming the big prize in the 2017 City Auto Glass Walleye Classic on Lake Vermilion yesterday. By 11 a.m. we had guests cleaning their limits, the average size right around 16.5″. About every cabin ate fish, and many were able to catch some to take home as well. On Saturday, the Lind guys had… Read More »

Indianapolis Boat, Sport & Travel show starts this week. We are really looking forward to getting “Back Home Again in Indiana,” if only for a 10 day show. We appreciate all the show guests that we meet throughout the show season and get especially excited when some of them choose to make our Lake Vermilion resort their destination when they come up north. We also love getting the chance to catch up with returning guests in their own neck… Read More »
Lake Vermilion winter is back to normal after that warm stretch, with a forecast for a good dose of snow in the next couple days. Fishing opener is 96 days away, and the Indianapolis Boat, Sport & Travel show ( http://indianapolisboatsportandtravelshow.com/ ) is next on the docket and we look forward to seeing our family and Hoosier buddies, many who we haven’t seen since our decision to head north – 17 + years ago.
