Early Fall

2007-09-01

Because of the dryness, the fall colors are arriving early this year. Some leaves have already started to fall or turn color. The water is in the sixties. We still need more rain as the lake remains about where it was a week ago. Did get about an inch one day this past week.

Walleyes continue on the break lines with cranks. Its time to start checking deep spots though. Smallies have also been caught on the break lines as well. Smallies come out of season real soon. Nice slot walleyes were caught last week. Hogan Toliver caught a 25" and Travis Hensch caught a 22" and a 20". Curt Casteel caught and released a 20" largemouth.

Muskies have still been fairly normal and shallow. Tom Maki boated two fish the biggest a 41 and Jason Majorowicz boated a 42. Bill Schott while fishing for muskies boated a 36" northern.

If a trip north is in your plans, give us a call at 800-249-3178.

May your pole always be bent! Dave
