The best news is that the muskies have
started to bite better this past week. Seven were boated
this past week. The biggest was 46" by Mark Merritt. I
boated two the last few days a 31 and a 42. Great fun.
Water temps are now in the low 70's.
We've been pretty dry the past few weeks; and the lake has
dropped 5-6 inches from its peek. It's still real easy to
get around though.
Bluegill have been caught regularly
the past ten days or so on wax worms and crawlers. The
walleye and smallmouth bite has slowed. A few fish have been
caught in 17-18 feet on crawlers or leeches.
