Well we need some rain in a big way. The
lake is very low. It's down about two feet now from normal.
You can see rocks you've never seen before poking
through. It hasn't rained in weeks. It remains warm during
the day with highs in the 70's and lows in the 30's. Water
temps are around the mid sixties, high for this time of
year. There's been little wind until today. A small algae
bloom remains on the main lake.
Muskies continue to be seen on summer rocks. Some real big
ones have been caught. Last week Dave Notermann released a
45" and a 30ish fish. Chris Juhas released a 42". The PMTT
fisherman arrived the last few days. Joe McCartin boated a
53" and Tom Ustaszewski boated a 54 1/2 and a 51".
In Pete Fiala's group they've managed
to boat two 41+ northern as well as two walleyes in the 23
inch range. Shane Fletcher released a 26" walleye and a 22"
smallie.
Walleyes continue to be caught in
fairly shallow water, 12-15 feet. Deep fall patterns still
remain ahead.

May your pole always be bent! Dave
