Walleyes have remained consistent on
lindy rigs with crawlers and leeches in 16-20 ft. of water.
Early morning or evening are the best, but some have been
caught during the day as well. The big ones have been on top
sometimes. The walleye list is long:
Doug Miller 27, 24,23, Paul Zukunft 26,
Nate Wade 25,23,22
Muskie action hasn't been too bad in
the early morning. Jason and Adam Boersma each boated a 45
1/2 and a 44 1/2 respectively last week. This week Jim Carow
boated a 48 and a 33 while Mike Mealman boated a 40"
northern. Tom Maki boated a 40. This week though, Eric
Larson has had the most luck with three pigs so far. A 50
1/2, and two 44s.
Small mouth action is pretty good.
Steve Esslinger released a 19 1/2. I managed a 19. Two other
groups have caught them this week, mostly two and three
pounders on leeches and crankbaits.
