Walleye Bite Improves

2006-07-15

The walleye bite has improved with fish being caught on lindy rigs on humps with crawlers and leeches. Wayne Koons managed to release a 21" on Friday as did Jeremy Peterson earlier in the week.

Smallmouth bass have been hitting leeches on boulders as well as some crankbaits. The Greifzu's did well with Jody catching an 18".

Bill Jessup caught his biggest northern, a 43" last week on a crayfish crankbait. Several muskies were boated that were big. Mike Schlenger boated a personal best 51". Pete Fiala boated a 50", another personal best. Roger Tryczynski boated a 47" and Brian Schlenger boated a 43". Various lures were used with no real pattern per say.

May your pole always be bent! Dave
