Finally some much needed rain. It's been
pretty dry here for two months and the lake is down a foot.
Water temps are still in the mid 60's. Walleyes have been
deep lately and biting minnows fantastically. We've caught
some really nice ones regularly. Smallmouth bass have been
caught by the Burke's from Chicago, Ill., four were 18 -19.5
range.
Muskie action has been
slow. Jason Long boated a 40 week before last. Brett Morley
boated a 42" northern. The typical transition period is upon
us.
