Water temperatures are down into the low
sixties already with the milder temperatures over the last
10 days. Walleye action has been real steady on shallow
flats using crankbaits. Lindy rigs with crawlers continue to
catch some fish as well. Jamie Lanning boated a 23" walleye.
Jeff Vartiak caught a 21". With
these milder temperatures the pool has had a lot less
activity. Some years we've had 90 degree temperatures during
the third week of August.
Muskie fisherman continue to see and
boat fish in shallow water. Mark Lanning boated a 43 in the
weeds this week on a small spinner. Todd Black boated a 37"
northern. The middle part of the week saw the best action.
Mike Stoner boated a 45 yesterday right when he got here.
May your pole always be bent! Dave
