| Another great fishing
opener. While the temperatures and the drizzle were tough,
the fish did cooperate The bite was excellent and our gut
buckets were full by the end of the day. The fish seemed to
be shallow and deep. Water temps are in the high 40's.

Anderson released a 22" walleye. Ed released a 40" muskie
using 6 lb. test while walleye fishing. They released some
nice smallmouth bass that approached 18 inches.
Several cabins had outstanding days on
walleye and by evening they were concentrating on their fish
fry. Seems like this year the fish were more in their normal
locations than last. We hope this is a good omen for the
weeks following.
