Fall Patterns in Place for Walleye and Bear

2004-09-08

Trolling crankbaits on the flats has worked in the afternoon while fishing deep fall spots has produced during the morning for walleye. Tom Fasching boated a 4 pounder that must have been 22" with a shad rap.

The muskie continue to be seen in shallow water with the water temps still in the low sixties. Jason Long matched his personal best of a few weeks ago with a 51.5. Jason also boated two forty inch northern as did his partner Dan Wojtuzik. They each had several fish boated in the thirties as well.

The smallies have been caught along shorelines mostly in 11-14 feet of water.

Logan Marvin arrowed a 285 pound bear last week while he was here. Logan's a teenager.

May your pole always be bent! Dave
