We're seeing action on all of the above
species. The walleye bite continues to be consistent in 15 -
20 ft. of water. Bass have definitely started to spawn, so
please put the females back. Numbers of fish have started to
spawn. Bluegill are prespawn; fish have been caught shallow
on a slip bobber and nightcrawler. Randy Johnson's crew from
Indiana have done well on all of the above. Yesterday, Rob
Johnson had a muskie eat his ten inch perch on the way to
the boat. She hit three times and never left his sight
before she actually made off with it.
Water temps are in the low sixties and
the nights have no longer been so cold. I've seen baby
crayfish being spit up consistently by the walleye the last
few times out.
Northern pike have started to get
shallow. More northern have been consistently caught this
past week.
The pool is ready for kids to have
some fun. Valerie and Eric can't wait to see some of their
summer friends.
May your pole always be bent! Dave
