The weather pattern has
been up and down the past two weeks as has the walleye
fishing. Just when the bite seems to be good another cold
front rolls in and slows things down. Main summer spots
are worth checking. A few have yielded some fish.
Smallmouth fishing has been the most consistent with fish
biting on leeches around islands and points.
Not much consistent muskie action . Mark Bergeron boated a
47" on Monday and a 35" on Thursday. His son
Mike boated a 43" Thursday. Joe Mellott boated a
47" on Wednesday along with a nice 36" northern.
Frank Bottiglieri boated a 48" and a 50"
yesterday and a nice 25" walleye. The 50 was on a
topwater and the 48 was on hair. Chris Drury boated a 36
1/2" northern. Not a bad week but the number of fish
seen isn't up there yet. Thursday by far was the best day
so far. We need some nice stable weather not the 58 degree
cold stuff we've been having. Dave at Everett Bay Lodge
