The fishing has
gradually gotten better this past week. Temparatures were
in the eighties the last two days and the bugs are
starting to appear. The water temps are back up to the mid
sixties. Walleyes have been caught shallow in the evening
in 4-5 feet and a deeper during the day.
Four muskie were caught and released this past week, all
in the 42-44 inch range. The Lake's, out of cabin one, had
a 23" walleye and a large 19" smallie the last
few days. Bob Kmoch in cabin 7 has caught several 19 inch
smallies over the last two days.
Diane and I were walleye rigging, and she boated a
37" northern on six pound test. The fish was hooked
perfectly in the side of the mouth.
