We had a successful
opening day here at Everett Bay. A calm cloudy day made
for a pleasant day on the lake catching walleyes and
northern. Pike Bay was successful for people with several
limits of nice walleyes being consistently caught in the
16-19 inch range. Todd and Brad Betterley
can be seen in
the recent photos section of our website with their catch.
Shiners with slip bobbers caught fish and so did rigging
with fatheads.
We've had really steady bright sunny weather for two or
three weeks until the last two days which brought rain and
clouds. Thank goodness for the rain. We've had some local
fires; it's been so dry. Tomorrow is supposed to be wet,
windy and cool. The steady weather has produced a steady
movement of the fish so far this year. Unlike last year
when weather in April and early May was very unsteady and
cold with water temps holding close to 45 degrees, in the
last two days the water temperature has dropped from 53 to
50 degrees here in the bay.
